I got this idea from Pinterest, which I'm now addicted to. When I found the originating link, it was from a website called Babble. It's great! They have lots of great ideas for moms. So, I tried a variation of my own. I used ice cream flutes for the mold and I used juices from Bolthouse Farms that I got at whole foods. The green is a veggie juice. The kids absolutely were over the moon about making them and finally eating them. The juice froze well, maybe because it's a very thick juice, it wasn't as hard as regular ice, it was softer and easier to eat. We just froze one layer at a time. After the first layer was frozen we poured in the second layer and we covered them with plastic wrap and stuck the stick in so it stood straight up. After the second layer had frozen the stick into place we left the plastic wrap off. Then we poured the rest of the layers and - viola! A delicious treat.

Read MoreOh, I love maternity shoots. Moms and Dads are so full of anticipation and excitement. I can't blame them, the anticipation tops anything else - Christmas, a wedding, ANYTHING. Carrying a baby, giving birth and being a parent is the ultimate privilege. I can't think of anything more amazing.
Read MoreI'm so behind on blogging, that I have THREE sessions to post from this family. It's kinda fun to see them all together though. It's absolutely amazing how fast they grow. I keep telling my kids to stop growing and they won't. I can't stand it, it goes too fast. Take lots of pictures, try to soak it up, it's sooo temporary.
Read MoreThis shoot was really fun. This little sweetie was sooooo good. She was only 3 and hung in there with me for a whole hour. For a three year old, that's FOREVER. The ladies at Indy's Child were great to work with too. We shot at the IMA which is absolutely gorgeous in the spring. It's one of my favorite places in Indianapolis. The cover is ready to go for the June issue and will be out shortly. I've read Indy's Child for many years and am particularly looking forward to this issue:)
Read MoreThis was a FUN project. Liz Cannon and Caroline Seger came to me a couple of months ago with the idea of photographing the kids in alphabet shapes to create a poster. Some inspiration came from photographer, Adam Bird, and Stepping Stones Montessori. After hearing about thier plans at the BJE for a fundraiser, I wanted to help. It took lots of organization and creativity, but I think the result is amazing. This will be up for auction at the BJE Spring Fling May 15th. It's a dry mounted 24x36.

Read MoreThis lovely family had their session last fall. Yes, last fall, as I mentioned, I'm trying to catch up. We did some inside and some outside this time. It's so nice living so close to Holliday Park. It enables us to have more variety in one shoot. As long as the kids are up for two locations, so am I!
Read MoreI love this little one. I get a little attached when I photograph babies in their mommies' bellies and get to watch them grow. Who wouldn't? I took these baby pictures in my Indianapolis photography studio.
Read MoreI absolutely LOVE taking ballet pictures!! Nutcracker picture day is especially fun because the kids work so hard to be in it. They have to audition and participate in a rigorous rehearsal schedule. Picture day is usually the first time they get to try on their costumes and there is so much excitement! There are lots of big smiles and everyone is bouncing around. It was very hard to pick which ones to include...
