Zoe's Ballet Shoot at the IMA

I have truly enjoyed watching this sweetie pie over the last few years. I've been thinking about why I have enjoyed watching Zoe so much lately (because I knew I would be writing this post - and I hate writing- but it's good for me) and I think it's partly because of her age and partly because she's Zoe. Zoe impresses me so much because she is kind, smart, interesting, confident, grounded and a beautiful, talented dancer. I really enjoyed getting to know her more at our shoot!

I got to photograph some great ballet again last weekend. The Indianapolis School of Ballet performed at Penrod last weekend. I really missed it over the summer! Ballet is so beautiful and addictive.

Violette Verdy Master Class at Indianapolis School of Ballet

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a ballet LEGEND, Violet Verdy, while she taught a master class at Indianapolis School of Ballet. I was humbled by her presence and beauty. She is so positive and uplifting. You just melt when she smiles at you... When I learned about her life and accomplishments - WOW. I had the pleasure of photographing an extremely talented ballerina a few weeks ago for the Indianapolis School of Ballet'supcoming ballet, Russian Treasures. If you get a chance to see it, I highly recommend it. All of ISB's ballets that I have seen over the last few years have been top notch. All the information is on the poster.

Nutcracker 2010 - Indianapolis School of Ballet

I absolutely LOVE taking ballet pictures!! Nutcracker picture day is especially fun because the kids work so hard to be in it. They have to audition and participate in a rigorous rehearsal schedule. Picture day is usually the first time they get to try on their costumes and there is so much excitement! There are lots of big smiles and everyone is bouncing around. It was very hard to pick which ones to include...
