I consider it a privilege to catch those fleeting moments on camera for my clients. Whether it is capturing a pregnant belly, the birth of a baby, a giggle, or even a temper tantrum; these are moments that should not be forgotten. I realized this when I had my first child and my passion for photography blossomed. Being a former teacher, I relate well to children and truly enjoy being with them. I think children can sense my genuine feelings and are comfortable with me. I absolutely love my career.
What sets me apart from other photographers is my ability to capture THE look that truly expresses a child’s personality. My most common compliment goes like this, “You really captured his personality! I have been trying to take a picture of that expression for years and YOU got it. THAT is my child.” I don’t use props and sets to distract from what is the most important reason you are getting pictures taken, the child. My studio is simple and “kid proof.” The lights are suspended from the ceiling so they can’t knock anything over that is fragile. It’s small and comfortable which helps the children relax and interact with me naturally. I love outdoor shoots too and would love to meet you at a local park.
Getting what you want is important, so we will spend a lot of time together through this process of creating your family pictures. We have a pre-session consultation where we discuss the possibilities so that we both have the same expectations and goals for the photo shoot. After the shoot, we meet again for your ordering session. You will have the opportunity to send a picture of your walls at home and I will use special software to show you exactly what your pictures will look like arranged on your walls to scale. It’s a tremendous help when making decisions about what to order.
But that’s enough about me. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
